Human beings experience a number of different emotions, the most basic of which include happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, anger, and surprise. Managing emotions effectively ensures you are controlling your responses to the situations around you appropriately. It’s important to feel your emotions and let them pass naturally as suppressing them can cause big damage. Unwanted emotions and/or out-of-proportion reactions can be frustrating, alter the way you are perceived by others and/or impact your mental health.Take a moment to breathe and evaluate before formulating/expressing a response. Be aware of what you are feeling and think about healthy ways to express those emotions in the moment. Never be ashamed of feeling sadness or anger, or of showing your emotions in general. Emotions are natural.
