Being overwhelmed is to be buried or drown beneath a huge mass. Overwhelm presents in many different ways and can affect your emotions (anger, irritability, anxiety), thoughts (doubt, worry) and behaviour (crying, panic attacks, lashing out). People become overwhelmed when they have too many things going on and they struggle to keep up or start to feel too much pressure.To ground yourself when feeling overwhelmed start by accepting your feelings, then simplify where possible. It is ok to feel overwhelmed, do not be ashamed or embarrassed. Ask for help and farm some things out to other people. Give up multitasking for a while and practice monotasking.
