Four of Spoons (Priorities)

Prioritizing something is placing it high on the to do list and seeking to complete it before anything else. Some things are prioritized without a second thought (ie stopping everything to go to hospital if you have been injured) but some equally important things in life get shuffled to the bottom because you think they can wait (like self care). Practice healthy prioritizing by saying “That is not a priority for me” instead of “I don’t have time” when something comes up. It is easy to dismiss things as unimportant when you are busy and have no energy left, ie eating, spending time with family etc, but admitting that you don’t think it is import- ant can change your perspective. Once you have figured out who/what should come first it becomes easier to shift attention there and off things that are a distraction.
